Kodi met Violet for the first time last night. As you can see, he was not exactly psyched about the experience. He tried his best to ignore her, but she was quite persistent! I think they will be friends eventually though.

Concert on the Canal

One of Rachel and I's favorite summer events is the weekly concert on the canal. It's a good way to jump start the weekend by spending your Thursday evening with a picnic dinner, good friends, and any adult beverages of your choosing. This year, due to renovations at the Indiana Historical Society, the location was moved two blocks north, and the series was shortened to just 6 shows. We're already looking forward to next summer!

Bark Park

We started taking Kodi to a dog park recently, and he has been having a blast! Here are just a few shots of him and some of his new pals.

Pentwater

Nick and I went to Michigan again for our 2nd annual camping trip.  This year was a little too early though (aka: too cold), plus there was a ton of rain in the forecast (neither of which bodes well for sleeping in a not-so-great tent).  So we had to pack it up and head home after just 2 nights.  We decided to spend the rest of our time on a stay-cation.  We set up shop in our backyard, cooking dinner on the camp stove and roasting marshmallows in our chiminea.  We also spent a couple days hanging out at Eagle Creek.  It ended up being pretty fun! And it was definitely better than freezing our butts off in Michigan.  We had to sleep in sweats and winter hats in our tent while we were there!

As an added bonus, Kodi was able to join us for the second half of our vacation, which we think he was happy about!
